I've seen some promising templates in here, and downloaded them, only to find that they are in a different format than the ones for iWorks '05 (Pages). Having an older PowerBook, the '05 version is as new as I can run until I can afford a 'newer' used PowerBook/MacBook.
I've noticed that the newer templates are not one file, but a folder with various files within it. I have tried changing the newer ones to a package like the older templates,, as well as just manually changing the extension to .template (I think that was it). I also noticed that when expanding the zip files, while the template is in process of expanding, it looks like the '05 template icon, but once it's done expanding, the template changes back to the folder icon.
Does anyone know of a means for me to be able to use later templates in a format my iWorks '05 (Pages 1.0.2 and Keynote 2.0.2) can read, open and save? Thanks in advance.
